Our School

Our Cottage Lane Great Student Rubric was created through input from our students, teachers, staff, and parents on our SLT. After coming to a consensus about the most important skills for a SOCSD and Cottage Lane graduate, we created a rubric as a team to guide the work and goal-setting that our students do during their time at Cottage Lane. Our Profile of a Graduate work emphasizes community responsibility, self-reflection, communication, and engagement. Through this initiative, students build essential life skills that prepare them to be compassionate, responsible, and engaged citizens. 

Here are the main tools CLE uses to communicate with families:

ParentSquare

• Automated mass messaging service that sends email, text and robocalls
• Used to remind families of upcoming events or share important information, mostly by email only
• Student families are automatically subscribed and may login to customize their accounts
• Current CLE families who are not receiving ParentSquare notifications or who need to update contact information should call the school’s main office at (845) 680-1500
• School ParentSquare notifications are for parents of current students and staff only
